Greece scores well in tax share but scores poorly in affordability change, and in the mid-range in cigarette price and tax structure. It would greatly benefit from reducing the cigarette affordability, higher cigarette prices, and improving the tax structure.
Scores Over Time
Greece's overall score remained constant between 2014 and 2020, then it decreased in 2022. The reduction was due to decreased cigarette prices and a reduction in the affordability change score.
