Tobacco Taxes & Government Revenues: Increasing Tobacco Taxes Significantly Will Increase Revenues
This policy brief examines the impact of tobacco taxes on tobacco consumption and revenues. It shows that concerns about increases in taxes not increasing revenues are misguided; in fact, this policy brief shows that at all current levels, increases in taxes will almost always result in increases in revenues.
