Impact of Health Policy on Cancer Prevention (Presentation)
This presentation was given by Frank Chaloupka at the HKAS Symposium on Cancer Challenge on October 6, 2018, in Hong Kong, China. During the presentation, the "best buys," or most impactful methods of prevention for cancer and other non-communicable diseases (NCDs), were discussed. The principle methods of NCD prevention included: reducing tobacco use, alcohol use, unhealthy diet, and physical inactivity through taxation. Lastly, the myths and facts about the economic impact of taxes were discussed.
