This report was prepared for the Bloomberg Philanthropies Task Force on Fiscal Policy for Health, and a supplement to the report, Health Taxes to Save Lives: Employing Effective Excise Taxes on Tobacco, Alcohol, and Sugary Beverages. The report discusses the following case studies: tobacco taxes in the Philippines, sugary beverage taxes in Mexico, and alcoholic beverage taxes in South Africa.
