Vanuatu scores poorly in affordability change, and in the mid-range in cigarette price, tax share, and tax structure. It would greatly benefit from reducing the cigarette affordability, higher cigarette prices, increasing the tax share of price, and improving the tax structure.

Vanuatu's overall score increased from 2016 to 2022. The increase was mainly contributed by an increase in the tax share of prices.
