Slovakia scores well in tax share but scores poorly in affordability change, and in the mid-range in cigarette price and tax structure. It would greatly benefit from reducing the cigarette affordability, higher cigarette prices, and improving the tax structure.

Slovakia's overall score decreased slightly from 2014 to 2022. In that time, the affordability change score decreased significantly while there was an increase in the cigarette price score.
