Honduras scores well in tax structure but scores poorly in cigarette price, and tax share, and in the mid-range in affordability change. It would greatly benefit from higher cigarette prices, increasing the tax share of price, and reducing the cigarette affordability.
Scores Over Time
Honduras's overall score decreased from 2014 to 2018 due to a significant decrease in the affordability change score. Then it rose in 2020 and remained constant in 2022.
