Belarus scores poorly in cigarette price, affordability change, tax share, and tax structure. It would greatly benefit from higher cigarette prices, reducing the cigarette affordability, increasing the tax share of price, and improving the tax structure.
Scores Over Time
Belarus's overall score increased slightly between 2014 and 2020, and remained unchanged in 2022. The increase in 2020 was mainly contributed by improving health structure and increasing the tax share score.
