Anita Bontu, MPH

Research Operations Manager

Anita Bontu is Manager of Research Operations on the Tobacconomics team at The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She has over 10 years of experience in managing research projects focusing on health and wellness policies. Her previous studies include partnerships with the Chicago Park District and Chicago Public Schools, as well as evaluations of the City of Chicago’s flavored tobacco ban near schools and sweetened beverage tax. Her research interests include using policy as a means of change and understanding how the built environment influences behavior.  

She completed her MPH at the University of Illinois Chicago’s School of Public Health and her BA in Economics at the University of Iowa.
