This presentation was given by Frank Chaloupka at the NAS Tax Policy Webinar on Commodity Taxes on April 30, 2018. The presentation discusses the impact of tobacco and alcohol taxes and prices on use and consequences, as well as compares/contrasts alcohol and tobacco taxes at the state level as a whole. Lastly, the economic myths and facts of alcohol and tobacco taxes were discussed.
