New Research Alert: Tobacco Control Supplement 
The Economics of Tobacco Taxation in Low- and Middle-Income Countries
This Tobacco Control Supplement is a collection of 8 research articles on the economics of tobacco control published by Tobacconomics think tank partners, as a part of the "Accelerating Progress on Tobacco Taxes in Low- and Middle-Income Countries" project.

Since 2017, Tobacconomics has been working with think tanks to build their capacity to produce high-quality research and contribute to policy making discussions in their respective countries. The articles included are examples of such work.

Based in the Health Policy Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), the Tobacconomics team conducts economic research to shape global tobacco control policies, and we also partner with economic policy think tanks in low- and middle-income countries to build the local evidence base for more effective tobacco tax systems. UIC is a partner of the Bloomberg Initiative to Reduce Tobacco Use.
