Welcome to Tobacconomics

Our team has been conducting research on the economics of tobacco control policy for nearly thirty years. Over that time, we’ve published in numerous journals and presented at meetings across the globe. However, we’ve noticed that there isn’t one central place where researchers, advocates, policy makers, and others can go to find the latest and best research about what’s working—or not working—to curb tobacco consumption and the impact it has on our economy. So we decided to create one.

We are starting out with more than a hundred journal articles, monographs, and presentations produced by our team over the last few years. Over time, we will add more resources from us and others. We will add seminal papers from the past as well as the latest research. Our hope is that you will be able to find everything you need to inform and make policy choices that reduce tobacco use and benefit the economy.

If you have a research item you think should be included here, let us know! We want this to be a comprehensive resource, and will happily include research from peer-reviewed journals, other reports, fact sheets, and more.
