K. Michael Cummings, Ph.D., MPH

Dr. K. Michael Cummings is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina, and co-leader of the Hollings Cancer Center Tobacco Research Program. In 2002, he helped establish the ITC Project along with Geoff Fong, Ron Borland, and Gerard Hastings. Michael is widely recognized for his research on smoking behavior, product marketing and consumer perceptions, and the influence of cigarette design on smoking behavior.

Michael received his BS in health education from Miami University of Ohio, and his MPH and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
